It is slightly better but i also found it to be shorter too. I finished it in one day on the hard setting. Ive started playing it online now which is pretty good

It's a fairly short/easy game when you play it through on normal level. However it's bl00dy hard on Veteran. COD2 was still fairly easy on Veteran, this is a whole different ball game..

Excellent game, and will be superb online when they sort out the issues..

Lag isn't a problem at all, it's getting into the games that's the problem, especially ranked matches...

Ranked matched you have to load and wait 5 mins at a time to get a match started.

Normal player match is greatabd starts instantly. I was playing 12 vs 12 lastnight and it was great fun.

You need to be patient with ranked matches (as above) Takes around 5 mins to actually set the match up (be patient at this point and wait until a number is displayed next to your gamertag) When this is done it's just a case of waiting for a min. of 8 players. This normally takes no more than 5-10mins...

Get it and enjoy it - for all it's shortcomings (and it has a few) it's still good fun. Especially online.

Interesting. I've only done two missions so far, but I've found this considerably easier on Veteran than COD2 was. Does it get harder at all?

I've noticed that your squad members seem to be keen to the point of over-zealousness in killing the Germans leaving me little to do other than push up to the next objective so they can continue their rabid killing spree!

Plus the Third Reich seem to be employing blind, conscientious objectors for soldiers in this installment! I've had lots of situations where I haven't noticed Fritz hiding away somewhere, but even though they've had line of sight on me, they've not even bothered to shout some German profanity, let alone fire a weapon.

Slightly underwhelmed with single player at the moment, but multiplayer is streets ahead of COD2.

If you're doing player matches - dont accept invites from the dashboard.

Start the the game and select multiplayer and after you've signed into live - then accept the invite. This usually works.

Great game , career mode is very short but I think that COD 3 was designed for online gaming. As said before once the initial glitches are sorted you copy of COD 2 will be staying in its box

Bloody Deathmatch......do you kill your own. If so I was playing with a bunch of w@nkers.

my copy of COD3 got delivered this morning (along with Gears of War)

completed COD2 on Veteran, just to get the achievements !!

Prefer COD series to GRAW etc, as it's wander round and shoot, none of this blue/red target HUD bollox. Cant wait to try it, just need a few hours spare to sit down and enjoy.
