Default Apache Tomcat

Any Apache Tomcat experts out there ?

I have Apache Tomcat installed on a server, if I access this via the hostname of the server or its IP address, it returns the web page (frames) and loads the jsp page content.

If I create a DNS entry (CNAME) to the server then it doesn't work. The server returns the "framed" web pages, but the jsp doesn't work.

I am assuming its an issue with Apache Tomcat, as it probably thinks I'm trying to access another virtual host on that server.

Thats about all my knowledge is...

I need this server to accept multiple DNS names, but return the one/same website.

Anyone help ????????????????????????

Many thanks,

K.

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply.

I have found the problem relates to having "_" in the alternate DNS/Hostname!!

Not good.

its not really good practice to have - or _ in a hostname.
