Default Wifi query

Mornin

I have an adsl modem and a Netgear wifi router.

I need to use the adsl modem for the phone as its plugged into the modem.

Is it possible use the wifi router as well just for wifi?

Cheers

I think it may be difficult to use the modem WITH the router as the router will most likely have only ethernet connection, whereas your modem probably connects directly to your computer via USB.

On the plus side, it sounds like your ADSL modem is also acting as an ADSL splitter if your phone plugs into it. You could purchase a seperate splitter (about £5 or so if bought on the internet), then use the router instead of the modem with both the router and your phone plugged into the splitter.
