XBOX360 and wireless settings
Hi people, I bought a wireless USB adaptor for my 360 today and Im trying to get it to work. now the simple thing Im having a problem with is I understand I have to set up my SSID name on the xbox to that of my router.... Except the wireless settings on the 360 are all greyed out so I cant set it up. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

You can't use a non-MS USB wireless adapter on the 360, but you can use a non-MS wireless ethernet adapter.
Then you would setup the SSID on the ethernet adapter and the 360 thinks its connected direct to a router or such.

Signal should be fine, not in a victoria style house etc with thick walls, Im about 10-15metres from the router if you do a direct through the floor run. it wont slow down then if someone else was using the PC upstairs, I'll always be ok on the b network?

It depends on the game (some require a lot more bandwidth than others), the strength of the wireless signal, and how heavily the other pc is using the connection.
You should be able to join games ok, but you may have trouble hosting them.
