Default Graphics card upgrade

Just after a cheap stopgap car (new pc next year) as it just said that the Half Life 2 mod Lost Coast wont run on the one in it, currently its a geforce ti 4400 so after anything that will do Direct X 9.

I would recommend getting a radeon 9800 pro or similair off ebay cheap, i have one running 2x 42" plasmas on multiple moniters. Highly recommended.

nah for 35 quid more than a radeon 9800 you can get an 850, far superior. £100 brand new just fitted one to someones computer to replace a failed 9800xt. No comparison. Last years top card for £100 is not bad

I always like nvidia and thats what I always had and fitted to most customers PC's.... Im starting to drift away from them now as the drivers they are making now days are a pile of 5hite (trying to get the tv out to work in a proper manner will make you lose a few hairs).

i got my 50" rp running on the dvi and the pic running windows mce is awsome!

worked within 5 mins of getting home....

Yes that works fine....always done...this is not the tv out though
