Ipaq 5550 wireless problems.......help

Default Ipaq 5550 wireless problems.......help

Hi People,

I`ve got an Ipaq 5550 and i`m trying to connect it to my Linksys wireless broadband router(model no. WRT54GS). THe ipaq finds it o.k. but i still cant get any web pages up. It tells me my it can`t connect with the settings i`ve got at the moment and to re configure them.
At the end of the day i`m a complete computer illiterate and need some advice can anyone help me

I assume you've replicated the settings that you've defined in your router onto the IPAQ?
ie You need to know what encryption (If any) that you're using,SSID (Case sensitive so be aware),have you enabled mac address filtering? (If so,you'll need to add the mac address of the IPAQ into the list of allowed macs in the router)

Nick, thanks for that i`ll give it a go but like i`ve said i`m a computer illiterate, all i know is that the ipaq has wireless and now i`ve got the router i thought i could connect the ipaq through said router
I may be i need of more assistance later on

AAAaaarrggh still can`t get this to work. any computer whizz`s close to Stoke on Trent.

Has anyone linked there Ipaq 5550 to a wireless network before. Its a linksys system and i`m with NTL. i`ve been allthrough the settings on the ipaq and i am really stumped now.
Any help would be much appreciated.
