Best laptop around £500?
My Mum is looking for a cheap laptop, purely for net access and a bit of Microsoft office. As far as I'm concerned, around this price they're all the same, but wondered if anyone had any recommendations, or could tell me / her what to avoid.

be carefull with the dells, recent press of exploding batterys!.....
the acer at dixons/currys looks good @ £299 to be honest if its only for basic use and no games.....
