Computer wont start up
I have a problem with a dell computer, it wont start up, on taking the side cover off there is power to the MB but nothing fires up, processor fan or cooling fan, the light on the button at the front wont light up either, but the board has power, it came about when someone just pulled the power lead out of the back without shutting down normally.
I originally thought the power unit had gone but it must be working to light up the MB. Anyone got any ideas
Andy

It's usually PSU / MOBO / Case switch (or cables) if that happens - possibly a failed CPU fan (but it usualy screams at you if that's the case - then shuts down).
The PSU might have enough ummph to light the onboard LED's but not to start the system.
The mobo might have got upset with the outage (but more likely to have damaged the PSU).
Obviously check cables, then work on diognosing the PSU
