Default Scanning to PDF

Can anyone help?

When I scan documents or photos I only have options to scan to jpeg, tif or gif, not pdf - which I could do on my old works 'puter? So Im having to scan in, then open in photoshop then print to pdf, which would be ok except its 40 odd pages Cant see any options to add a different format to scanning options...

Its a HP Officejet all-in-one if that makes any difference?

If they haven't bundled it, you're stuck.
Can you not scan a multiple page job straight to print if you've already got a pdf printer set up?

software for that surley?

my HP scanner came with some so i stick 30+ pages in the feeded...it scans both side of each page then up pops a box on the screen to ask if i'm done and whether to go ahead and save as a pdf in the default location (or somewher else)

very simple....must be something like that out there for any scannner?

If you use the FILE-SCAN function from Adobe Acrobat (not reader) with any twain driver scanner it will do it automatically and OCR as well if you tick the right boxes
