website / domain clash
hi there,
i should know the answer to this one, but my head is full of VPN stuff right now.
problem: i have a domain called www.xyz.com
and i have a website called www.xyz.com hosted externally.
however i cannot view this website from in the domain.
is this a dns issue and can someone point me in the right direction to resolve this??
using windows 2003 SBS
TIA

Forward Look up zones, add a new host and then add a www record. Have you got DNS installed and active?
By the way, your website (xyz.com) is rubbish

works perfectly,
i changed the webhosting company a while back and it still had the old IP address as a DNS www forwarder.
might have a bit of freelance "Paying" work for you, if you can pm me you details (location / work situation, skills or CV) etc...
