Urgent Help Required!!!!!!!!!!!!
A complete muppet aka me has set the resolution to high so now when I turn on the computer it says Out of Range and flashes 75.2K 60Hz. How can I put it back to normal?
Any help would be brilliant.

I think you'll have to boot into safe mode, uninstall the video driver which will take you back to VGA, then reboot normally, and reinstally your video driver.

I tried changing the resolution on the new monitor and swapping back but when I restarted the computer it came up with the same message as before.

With other monitor (working) connected, right click desktop, select properties, select Settings tab, press Advanced button. Somewhere in there will be the frequency settings (possibly under a Monitor tab). Change that to something lower than it currently is (try 60Hz) then work back up when on your old monitor.

Are you still getting no picture at all on your old monitor? Did you try setting the video card to the lowest frequency and lowest resolution before plugging it back in to your old monitor.
Stupid question time: All leads plugged into old monitor and powered on?
