Default Data Recovery...

Hello chaps.

I have a non-functioning USB pen that has (or at least, did have) some important information contained on it. Unfortunately, it's out of warranty.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to get the fugger working again? Or does anyone know of any data recovery type people who might be able to help out?

It was dropped about 2 or 3 feet onto a hard surface, if this helps.

Cheers

Kev

BURR is your man if you see him. He is the most likely to be able to help.

I would of thought you could drop a usb pen out of an aeroplane and it would still work, it takes a lot to break one, they aint like hard drives the info is hard coded on the chips, did you drop it in a puddle

Cheers Bob and Darren.

No puddle in sight, I'm pleased to report

Been fiddling about with it all day, to no avail. Opened the pen up and had a look inside - there seems to be no physical damage whatsoever.

"My Computer" doesn't detect the pen any more, and the pen's LED that used to light up when it was docked stays un-illuminated.

I'll have a look for BURR, see if he can help out.

Cheers
