computer wont remeber passwords
as above getting sick off logging onto bbs like scoobynet etc and having to log in every time i switch the computer on
what do i have to change in the settings to save them?

Go into IE. Left Click the following:
Tools -> Internet options -> Content -> Auto Complete
Then tick the boxes 'Usernames and Passwords on Form' and 'Prompt me to save passwords'
Tools -> Internet options -> Content -> Auto Complete

Are you running any security software - AV, firewall, intrusion detection? If so, this will invariably overrule anything in set IE. If you have something like this installed, check your settings to see if they're ultra-secure or not.
