which ISP offer a higher upstream speed ?
A mate of mine has just bought a slingbox and has realised his paltry upstream speed of 256kbps isn't enough.
Are there any providers that offer a higher upstream ?

he can check his area there, for greater than 1 meg he may need to look at SDSL

the Be there speeds of 24 meg are only if your exchange supports it. He needs to check his number on the samknows site to see what is avilable to him, totally depends on this to be honest not many exchanges even support SDSL and if they did and he has a router......He would need another router that supported it

the samknows site isnt totally accurate. Im on bulldog 2mb (through bt wholesale) and sams site says that bulldog have now enabled LLU at my exchange. I contacted bulldog to change over to this service but they havent activated it yet which was confirmed by a few "engineers" and technical people. They told me it is planned for late July.
The best bet for be is to check the availability on their site.

Well low upstream speeds will always be the bane of ADSL - that's why it's 'asymetric' - you get fast download at the expense of crap upload, which is a compromise which suits most people.

I've been putting on of these into a customer and its performance is affected pretty badly by the low upstream rate he has:
