Default BF2 Connection lost?

about to give up on this pants....any last suggestions?

99.9% of the times i am on line i will loose the link within 2 mins "your connection to server is lost"


ping is fine and on the VERY rare chance i dont get booted it plays fine.

any last ideas cause this is doing my head in!

yes....i tried setting it to use only one core but no difference

Dual core processor (Amd 4800+) and I have no connection problems at all in BF2. Have you applied the latest amd patch? Mine did used to disconnect before I applied the latest patch...

where do i find that? AMD site? cant see any patches there?

You don't say which processor you have, but I'd guess you want the "AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (exe) 1.3.1" if it's a dual core x2 job...

at the bottom of the page there are 2 may releases...do i need them both? they read almost the same?

One is for the 64bit (x64) version of XP, and the other one is for the standard version of XP (i.e. Home or Pro). I'd guess that this is probably what you have, and so you probably just want the standard patch (i.e ignore the x64 one).
