Lightbulb Cheap/Free Program to put track markers in a hour long MP3...?

Hi, i've recorded a few nights of me DJing and want to put them onto c.d with track markers. the only way i can do this at the moment is to use sound forge and split them into different tracks then create a cd without gaps with them in order. This takes bl00dy ages!

Got to be an easier way???

not free but cool mp3 splitter is what i use for essential selctions and essential mixes.

may take a bit of fiddling to get seamless joins mind you within the tracks, the demo is free

soundforge does rock though when recording vinyl to the pc and editing the intro out (well until the song starts)

Nero gives you the option to add track points or you can create a CUE file with time indexs of each track, this is simple and again works with nero.

I can't remember the format exactly (below is an example off the net), you basically create a text file with the extension of .cue containing something like this

TITLE "Clubbers Guide 2003 CD1"
FILE "Clubbers Guide 2003 CD1.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Divine Inspiration - The Way (Svenson & Gielen Remix)"
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Flip & Fill - I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Resource Mix)"
INDEX 01 03:50:45
TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "DJ Sammy & Yanou Feat. Do - Heaven"
INDEX 01 08:42:52
TRACK 04 AUDIO
TITLE "Dee Dee - The One (4 Clubbers Remix)"
INDEX 01 12:56:40
TRACK 05 AUDIO
TITLE "Lucy Carr - Missing You (Kenny Hayes Remix)"
INDEX 01 17:20:52

Then open nero and select the cue file. It sometimes takes a while to open the mp3 file and often looks like nero has hung, just leave it and eventually it will open.

BTW, I think Track names are optional and used for CDText.
