Default Creating a home "network" problems

I have both my desktop and laptop connected to my wireless router, and would like the 2 machines to file and print share, but I can't seem to get it working.

I've run the various network setup wizards to no avail.

Can anyone give me a straightforward guide to getting set up? Ta

I second that. Firewalls would be the first thing to look at.

I take it in your Network connection properties you've got File & Print Sharing For Microsoft Networks installed and enabled?

Have you got the same os?
Seem to remember having similar problems with NTFS and FAT?
Make sure they are members of the same workgroup....

Both computers are Windows XP Home Edition, and all firewalls have been disabled.

Basically, this is what I've done....

In Control Panel, Network Connections
Wireless Netwrok Setup Wizard
Setup new wireless network
Use USB flash drive
Then plug the flash drive into the other computer and run the setup
Replace the flashdrive into the first computer
Click finish.

Now, how do I access the other computers files from this one?
How do I print from the server computer via the client one with printer attached?
