Photoshop help - how to sillhouette

Default Photoshop help - how to sillhouette

Hi all PS Gurus,

wasnt sure what category was best to post this, so please feel free to move if needed

I'm trying to work out how to make my car a silhouette from a photo.... been trying various methods but tearing my hair out now.. anyone got any good tutorials or advice

I would use the "Magic Wand" tool initially. With a bit of luck you should get a dotted line reasonably close around around your car's outline. By holding down Ctrl and clicking close to the outline you ought to be able to adjust the bits of the outline that don't fit, thus refining the mask. Then you should be able to >right click, invert selection< and use the fill tool with black.

This is all from memory, lightning101 may be able to show you more betterer.

I'll give that a go, I am using PS CS2 at the moment and havent got a clue really, so many different menus and options I'm lost


anyone else with a contribution
