TomTom - can you fit Euro map on a 2GB memory card ?
I know the TomTom700 is hard disk based and has the full Euro map on it.
I was wondering, with the ever-increasing capacities of flash cards, would it be possible to fit the TomTom Euro map onto, say a 2GB card ? Then all I'd do is buy a TomTom300 which uses these cards?
Also I'd really like to know if the same can be done with the US map ?

I have most of western europe on a 1 gig card, I think Germany would have tipped it over the limit, but it may fit with a bit of jiggling. Two gig would certainly fit every map supplied by Tom Tom with space to spare. Picked up a nice Sandisk 1gig SD card with built in USB for £46.
