Unhappy OK, Who broke the internet?

Is it just me or NTL customers or everyone, suddenly this afternoon access to any US based site seems iffy.

Apple, Adobe and now Google....

Anyone else having weird things going on?

that makes sense why I've been having trouble getting onto msn and ebay at home. It's been happening on and off for just over a week and NTL couldn't have been any less help earlier if they tried.

I can pick up tiscali emails and access here and the legacy bulletin board fine though.

Having probs too (ntl)..

Google intermittent, ebay barely works (usually only the opening page) autotrader website intermittent and various forums not working.

If it's an ntl fault why do some things work perfectly every time? ie here and MLR yet others are deffinatley effected?

If it's a DNS server issue then some sites might be resolving ok via DNS, and others might not, hence why some work and others don't.

Kinda reminds me of a not very technical guy I used to work with who asked 'Where is the internet' we used to tell him that it was located in a large room somewhere in the US and that if it was running slow it was because the entire Internet was being backed up

They are currently upgrading the servers to give you 22meg for the same price as 10meg so a little disruption is surely aloud

interesting reading bob269, just exactly what 'servers' are they upgrading to give me 22meg? And where did this little snippet of information come from?
