Netorking!
Right bear with me on this please:-
Im have a netgear router with a switch that sits alone (not connected to the PC with wires) near my phone line and broadcasts a wirelss internet signal across my house.
I can pick this up no problem on my desk top PC and my PSP.
I have bought a Wireless laptop and am looking into using the wireless router to network the computer and the laptop so I can share/move files between them.
My question is how do you do this? Is it possible without the router being connected via a wire to the PC?
TIA

Of course you can. But don't expect the speed to be great. Just make sure you set-up sharing on one or both PCs to allow you to see each others folders. The router I am guessing is providing the IP addresses to anything that connects wirelessly so you should be okay.

yes you can
if all machines are runing win xp just run the network setup wizard
remember to set the work group name the same on all machines
you will find the network setup wizard in the control panel.
its pretty straight forward.

All I will say is that the speed will not neccessarily be as quick as if you have a wired CAT5e network. So if your expecting to shunt large amounts of data between each machine then you will have a slightly longer wait.
