Hey up,
What are the average loading times for the majority of web pages?
Or rather what loading time is acceptable?

Obviously quicker is better but is there a time you should realy get below?

Thanks,
Paul

We aim for 12 secs per page average. Some of our pages make calls to multiple backends like quote engines/sql servers etc and generate PDF's where 12 secs just ain't possible. This figure is based on 56k connections though as would you believe some users still have modems.

We monitor it through out the day using a company called Site Confidence. I think they do a trail as well. Go here: http://www.siteconfidence.co.uk/

Hope that helps

Nick
