Default is this good or bad speed?

just done a speed test is this reasonable?

Communications 1.6 megabits per second
Storage 192 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 5.3 seconds

That depends on how fast you were expecting it to be?

did another test at a different site
1st test

Time to download: 38.078 seconds
File size: 5040KB
Throughput: 1080.1 kilobits per second
Throughput: 132.4 kilobytes per second

what the hell does it mean

if it looks like 2mb, then something is wrong

2nd test

Time to download: 3.531 seconds
File size: 5040KB
Throughput: 11647.2 kilobits per second
Throughput: 1427.4 kilobytes per second

That second test looks like it's picked up the cached sample file - either that or your provider suddenly got very generous

Are you with a cable provider? If so then your sharing your data bandwith with other users.
