getting rid of profile select WIN xp

Default getting rid of profile select WIN xp

i don't know why but suddenly everytime i start windows xp, its now telling me to click on profile(user) to logon,

i only have the one,

how do i get rid of that screen?

Need more info, win xp only shows a login box if there's more than 1 user (known or unknown) on the pc or if your connected to a domain controller.

not quite, it will show the screen if the one user has a password set, odd in this case though

Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on

"Disable Use The Welcome Screen"?????

or dont set a password on your main account that u use?

thx found it, strange though it just happened, don't have a password too.

still don't work, its now on the stupid classic windows 98 logon,

(enter password to get in)

drag menu options to log off
