XBox 360 - Great While It Lasted
Well, had my XBox 360 since launch day and enjoyed it emmensely . . . until Thursday . . .
. . . and the infamous red lights
Its always been kept in a well ventilated unit and always treated with the utmost care.
Called MS Support and now await the courier in the next 4 days with a box to take it away in

My brothers one went wrong at xmas, and had his replacement within 4 days, (despite it being the holiday period etc). So hopefully you shouldn't have to wait to long...

They didn't say what was wrong with it. Its not a PSU problem as the light is steady green when the console is powered on. I did the error code check on the console (press the little white button and the eject button 4 times) and the code was 0102 = unknown error.
Good to know Iain, hope to get a quick turnaround
I have to send just the console and HDD back to them, packing it in the box the courier will bring.The courier will wait for me to pack it, then take it away.

The courier dropped off a box to put the 360 in along with the instructions, relevant stickers and number to get it collected FOC by DHL. They are coming back tomorrow to get the package, so the clock will be ticking

New console delivered today Would have been last Friday if the courier had waited like he was supposed to 
Well . . . I say new . . . its pretty much the same manufacturing date as the last one
Hope this one lasts longer !
