Default TV Card

I have just tried this on my PC on i think its pretty crap, i have tried the analogue ariel in it & the picture is crap to say the least.
I have also tried connecting the freeview box through the RF inlet, but Power Cinema wont pick up the freeview signal.
Any ideas on how to strenghten the signal ?? The rest of the tv's upstairs can pick up good pictures.
thanks
js.

Should work OK - Hauppauge are the brand for TV cards.

Try a reliable source - like a video player. If that's crap, change the connection lead & make sure all the connections are tight. If it's still pants, take it back.

If that works OK, then it's a process of elimination, change 1 thing at a time and re-check.

Alternatively, if you've got a good picture on a TV, just start by hooking the PC up to that lead....

I've got one of them. Brought it without checking if I lived in a freeview area
From what I've read (after I'd brought it doh), you need to be in a area with a strong signal to get a good picture from the supplied antenna.

John ...you will need A Digital ariel in order to recieve the channels I think...I had the same problem with that brand of tv card ......in the end brought another ( Leadtek WinFast DTV1000 T)
the Leadtek card is brilliant, lots of software, timeslip, and twin view as well

...just wondering, but did you have to provide your name and address when you made the purchase, as technically you have television receiving equipment which requires a licence - so shops must obtain this information.

Also, were you warned the you can only use it at home, or in a caravan when there is nobody at home, or elsewhere but only on internal batteries (or whatever gumph the latest licence Ts&Cs say)?

PC World do pass info on to the TV Licence people.
I keep getting letters from them saying they have no record of a TV Licence registered to my house despite the fact we have one.
