how do i find out the power consumtion of my pc?
as title.........
i've got a 350 watt power supply, but i'm running 2 hard drives and 2 cd/dvd drive thingys....
and a host of usb thingys........
so need to know i need a bigger power supply thing and if i do, where to get one from.

You can get devices that you plug into the mains socket and then the device into that which will tell you how much power the device uses. Maplin used to sell them but I had a quick look but couldn't see one on the website.
You might be surprised how much the power drawn varies, my laptop would draw about 48 watts while idle, looking for ET using SETI and it lept up to 86W
