Default windowsupdate on a dial-up ?

doing a windowsupdate.com on a dial-up is too painful on my dad's PC. is it possible for me to download all the patch and updates on broadband and burn it on a cd so that i can install it?

Or take your Dad's PC to a place that has broadband.

Autopatcher

Excellent program - it's a 192mb download but it will install all the months patches plus other tweaks and enhancement if you want.

I've just ran Novembers and it too between 15 and 20 minutes on the two machines I used it on.

It's a good start.

autopatcher looks good. one question... if the PC is really out of date with patches, do i only need the latest autopatcher? or i need to download all the months?

er....not sure!

First start would be to make sure SP2 is on though.

only the most recent one is needed. Works best though with SP2 installed
