Could be a new Active X code it now uses to display pages. I take it you have the latest IE with pop-up and spam blocker?

You could have something in your DNS cache pointing to the odd address. Open a command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and press enter.

Also you could have a rogue entry in your hosts file.
This is located in ~\system32\drivers\etc and is file called "hosts" and is bacically a name to ipaddress list that is not normally used for everyday running of your machine.
Open it with notepad and make sure there are no odd entry's in there relating to your problem. In fact I would be surprised to see any entrys in there apart form the examples etc

I can get into it now by avoiding the homepage..What is a PHP file??
That is why it is trying to download rather than open the page..
