Tom Tom Mobile with Sony Ericksson P910i
H-E-L-P, Please!!!
I bought a 1gb Memory Stick Duo card, a (non Tom Tom ) GPS receiver and a "copy" of Tom Tom software- all from separate vendors.
Now, I have the programme in my phone and it works (shows my address etc),
the GPS receiver "sees" my phone when bluetooth is on as the phone names the device.
However I cannot get the ACTUAL programme to do anything. It says that no GPS is recognised ( or received).
Before I give this up as a bad job, can anyone please help me solve the issue????

Have you loaded the GPS receiver software onto your phone? if you have remove it as it conflicts with the tomtom GPS setup.. I had the same probably with my PDA.

if you click on the signal bars does it say no gps device detected or no valid gps signal these are two different things, if the latter is the reciever in clear view of the sky.

I did not have to load any GPS Receiver software to the phone. It only required bluetooth linkage and the use of 0000 as the code to work (but there lies my problem, as it does not work)>
