I purchased a tomtom satnav bundle back in June thinking that I could add the maps to it that were in the box but I've just been told by tomtom that I have to pay 189 euros for an activation code for the french map This on top of the fact that they want to charge customers for the speed camera overlays that you can get free

Their customer service sucks

Apologies if i'm teaching you how to suck eggs... but did you not get a card with your activation code(s) on it as part of the bundle?

Seems weird to me that TomTom would include maps that you weren't licensed for

I got an activation code for the great britain maps and that was it In the box were the cds with the maps of europe on but for each product code they want 189 euros I bought the product thinking that you could swap maps like it told you but they didn't tell you that you had to pay the massive fee to activate the extra maps.

You can swap the maps that you have paid for. I know when I got my 700, it had them all pre-installed and activated, but I think that was the only model in the range which did. In the other models available at the time the eruope maps were extra...
