Default Xbox 360 TV's

Can someone come up with a list of Displays what would be best suited to get the best out of my xbox360 when it arrives, i know you need a HD tv but there are that many for sale and without actually seeing one hooked up i need all the help in buying one.
Also will a TFT monitor work as good i have a iiyama prolite E431s.

Cheers for any help.

Firstly, you don't NEED a HDTV to play a 360 - it will work perfectly on a conventional TV.

Your TFT will work, but you'll need the VGA lead.

Alot of people are using the 360 as an excuse to buy a new TV

Hope this helps,

Dan

depends on the budget really... your looking at spending well over a grand IMO for a decent TV with a real HD ready resolution etc....

As scoobydoo says, no HDTV needed, but if your buying a telly then why not go with a nice HD ready plasma.

p.s. my recommendation is the Panasonic Viera.... Any on this page are all as good as each other and are the best on the market IMO

if you don't want to spend a fortune, 1.2-2k will buy you a 46-50" DLP HDTV, i've got a Samsung 46" and the picture quality is superb

I've got a Samsung 32" LCD HDTV. £800 and has an excellent picture. Microsoft were using them to demo the 360.

ha ive just been thinking about this. Got a normal widescreen not HD so wondered how the 360 would look. Seems that you only can get HD with panel lcd's & plasmas now.
how do i persuade the wife we need to upgrade we'll have a bigger house so room to put the other one elsewhere. Though she might be quite keen if i say "just imagine what High Definition Halo 3 would look like on a 46" LCD"

no worse than the CRTs i've had in the past, i've no idea how Plasmas or LCDs cope with it though

What about a Dell lcd? (They're selling them off as they are getting out of the lcd tv market)

I'm seriously considering buying the 19in version...

DELL W2600 26" (66cm) LCD TV Just £363.08 delivered

DELL W1900 19" (48cm) LCD TV Just £240.70 delivered

http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/pr...n&s=dhs&~ck=mn

All are classed as "HD ready" (You need to add them to your basket to get the prices I mention above)

Good luck

Will the Xbox 360 work well with an LCD TV/monitor?

I tried playing my ps2 on a lcd tv and the picture was rubbish.

**Ignore that, I found the answer which is yes. Apparently the xbox can be connected to a PC TFT monitor
