it's difficult to put it into context with such a small screen shot - doesn't sound good - but can you take a bigger pic?

Err you do realise if you use the PC's print screen facility we won't be able to see your issues chap - did you use a digital camera for either pic?

I can't see anything wrong in either.

PS. cheeky git - I dunno, try and be helpful...

PPS. installing my second raptor at the moment - raptor boot disk & raptor game disk now

Chap - if the monitor is causing the issue - a screen grab won't show it - will have to be a digital pic taken with a digital camera of the problem.

And no, my monitor's fine - those images look great!

I have to go to Hong Kong end of Nov I wanted to see if they're cheaper over there, tightwad that I am.

They certainly are ! If memory serves correct the Golden Shopping centre near Lady Market . . . . they also do a nice line in CD's / DVD's if your into that sort of thing

Nathan road is gadget heaven . . . . but keep walking north for the deals and keep out of the flash shopping malls and duty free !

looks like artifacts to me from the video card - had a similar problem on an old card and it turned out to be the memory on the card - Could also be the drivers - are you running the latest drivers - you are taking your card to new display sizes which may not have been a problem before

take a look at this article as the bloke describes a similar problem

"had artifacts all over the monitor, looked like little 1/8" high, by about 5/8" long red bar-codes on dark areas, blue on white or blue areas of the display"

http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7591-0....sageID=1481301

could be power to the card at the higher resolution?

Do you have a laptop or anybody close with another pc to try - if you are close to the midlands you can always try it on my new 2405fpw when it arrives next week
