PS2 and Netgear DG834GT router
Having ditched my old Belkin Router I now have a Netgear DG834gt router, this is working fine on my pc and wireless network..
However I'm having problems getting the PS2 connected to the gaming servers...
Anyone know how to set the router up or has one working ok?
thanks
Andy

Hi Andy
I have just brought the same router yeasterday. I was finding it kept dropping the internet connection & required a reboot to get sorted. I have now upgraded to the latest firmware 1.01.28
Not tried conecting to the PS2, you might find the answer here http://forum1.netgear.com/support/

What you need to do is use the 'Address Reservation' option in the 'LAN IP Setup' section of the router's web-console to assign a static IP address on the LAN side to the PS2 (which the router determines by the PS2's MAC address). Make sure the PS2 is connected and online before you do this (you should also be able to see the PS2 in the 'Attached Devices' section).
Once you have the IP address statically assigned, all you need to do is enter that IP address as the DMZ server.
Hope this helps?

I think I know the problem guys.....
Tried Colin Mcrae 2005 and worked fine online...then attempted HArdware arena online.. failed to connect.. I tried various settings and nothing worked..
Plugged in old router and still didnt work so I gues the Sony Game server is down as it was ok last night....
will see if it comes alive later....
