Mac question....
I am picking up a couple of G3 macs with no OS installed, now I have panther but not sure what the procedure is for putting it on, on a PC you just change the CD to the first boot device and hey presto. What do I do?
Cheers

just put the CD in and it should start up off it, if not hold down 'C' for it to change the start up drive at boot up

One major thing, do these G3's have built in usb? If not then you can't install Panther on them.
I hit this snag the other day. I could install Jaguar on my Beige G3 (ran quicker than on my G3 iMac! lol) but it won't play ball with Panther as it does not have built-in usb.
As said by flat4, stick in the CD and see if it boots from it, if not, hold down the 'C' key and that should do it, if that does not then hold down the 'option/alt' key and you might see a 'boot loader' screen, from where you can click on the CD and that'll boot from it.
