Default Exchange mailboxes

I have been asked to obtain daily dumps of certain users mailboxes in Exchange 5.5 to be used in an investigation and save them to PST files. (The Exchange Admin isn't even trusted)

Anyone know what is the best way to do this is?

(I have full domain admin rights to everything and can add myself to Exchange Admin groups.)

Does it need to be regular dumps? if so try some All Bran

If you have admin rights to the mailbox store you can setup a new Outlook profile for each of their mailboxes and simply export everything to individual PST files. You would need to use 3rd-party tools to do this automatically.

Forgot about exmerge. Used that when migrating mailboxes off our old 5.5 servers.

I use that instead of the bloody expensive software backup solutions.

Backup's are not important when you consider the value of the data. Our company back-ups cycles probally cost about £10,000 including software and tape loaders/units but the data is worth millions.

Each company is different and has a different value on each type of data.

Where I was e-mails weren't critical - but more of an inconvienience if lost - hence cheap solution
