Help me choose between these 3 laptops....please....
Edited as have now norrowed choice down to 3...
Morning guys & gals
Im looking for a cheap ish 250/300 ideally...all I need it for is the net, some work from home on office and the occasional game of championish manager.
Nothing fancy - not bothered about age etc as long as it works.
problem with ebay is there is too much choice...i'm really struggling to work out what is/isn't a good buy.
Especially as I don't know that much about laptops...
I will have a dig round and post up some that I think may be contenders....can anyone offer any words of advice, suggestion of what to look for or recommend a seller.
Thanks

The battery life was a good thought, thanks Paul.
The brand new acer seems really good value - thanks for posting link. What are peoples views of acer ?
Have just found this on ebuyer - I thought fijitsu siemens were very expensive...why so cheap?
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=93718
or this toshiba
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=96138
Also, will a processor with say 1.4/1/5mhz speed run championship manager etc smoothly and not be too slow?
Thanks for help

I have been using a Fujitsu Siemens laptop at work for a few months now and have no complaints whatsoever.
In fact I was so happy with it I bought a new Fujitsu desktop from PC World a few weeks ago

I've have just bought that Toshiba from Ebuyer for my father in law.
Very impresssed with the quality - it blows away my £1200 DELL that I use for work.
In terms of processor speed - it should be fine for what you need. Memory is the key, and for £30 odd you could upgrade the memory in this laptop to future proof it.

I have great experience of Champ Manager, on all formats and right from the original game up to and including the current edition
You will need a minimum of 40gb hard drive, 500 mb of ram and at least 1.7ghz processor
Otherwise you will be waiting, and waiting and waiting.......

With regards to your Acer question - it depends...
Wifey got a crappy £600 Acer 5 years ago that was truly appauling.
She got issued a new Acer last year through work (£1100) and the quality is amazing - much better than my old HP Pavillion...

Dixon Stores Group have very good deals available on Fujitsu kit; but I wouldnt recommend that anyone use FS..... At the price point quoted, about £300, Id look at a new Dell for £350. The relative peice of mind that a manufacturers warranty provides alone is wortht he £50 premium.
