Question Playing videos on iPAQ with media player

I've got a HP iPAQ rz1710 running windows mobile 2003 second edition with windows media player 9 on it. I can play music on it just fine but I can't get it to play videos. I've tried various formats but the only way I can see the file is in the file explorer and it won't let me play it from there. It doesn't appear when you try and add it to a playlist in media player

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

wmv files are what it natively plays (well my 1940 and vpx do) so you either need to convert the video using the free ms windows media encoder or find an aftermarket player software to do the trick.

my rz1710 plays wmv's fine bit rate of no more than 300 iirc, there are mpeg and avi video apps but to be honest it's not worth bothering with as processor really isn't up to it, if you run windows xp just use media maker (or whatever it's called) and convert to 240 by 180 full screen pocket pc.

Yep I use PocketTV on my XDA II and it works a treat. Landscape mode supported as well.
