Some years ago i had 2 batteries on an old Gateway 2000 laptop and i had a charger for the second battery for it. So it may be possible if the laptop manufacturer has a charger like i used to have.

I used to have one for my old Toshiba laptop. Took two batteries and could charge both at once. I think it depends on the make of laptop / battery...
