The phone is a gimmick, pure and simple. I've absolutley no need for a phone that plays iTunes. I have my mobile (SE T637) and my 40GB iPod so I'm covered when it comes to music and telephony on the move. I can see that it's all about convergence, and that is somewhat cool, but it's not giving me anything I have not already got.
Other factor here (Canada) is that it'll be more expensive than the US version, plus I'll be interested to see which telco's will carry it. Steve says Cingular and North America in the same breath but unless I'm blind, Cingular does not operate in Canada, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Canada was in North America.
As for the Nano, mmm, sexy! The mini was ok, but this is very cool indeed.
iTunes 5.0. I must say I like the new look, am waiting for the fanboy's to whinge about it on /. but as said I like it, it's clear and concise. There is one downpoint and that's the new folder option. It's nice to be able to create a folder and put playlists in it, but, and this is a big but, it would be nice if the iPod could deal with this but it does not. OK, so it's not a failing of iTunes per se but it is annoying that when you copy the folder to the iPod it converts it into one big playlist. Hopefully there will be an iPod update as soon as the Nano's ship which might take this into account.

That motorola phone is hideous.
The nano looks great (pity the phone doesn't look like it) - but a bit pricy IMHO - £179 for 4gb? My 30gb ipod photo was only £20 more than that!
Anyone managed to download iTunes 5 yet? I'm having problems at the moment - can't see the download button on apple's site...

Messiah,
have you tried software update yet (assuming you're on a mac of course), it's certainly now listed in SU, as well as the actual download on the iTunes page.
