Call of duty game problems - do you reckon i'd get a replacement?
Ive got call of duty which worked on my old pc. came to install again, and again, and on friends pc, it stays at 33% for a long time and then continues. then when trying to play the game it says "csconfig not found". so its definitely the disk which isnt scratched. Its weird.
anyways, do you reckon activision would send me a new game?

He won't be able to install the patches till the game itself is installed. Have you tried using someone else's copy, and just entering your own CD key in ? What about copying the contents of the CD to the hard drive and installing it from there ?
If there's a certain file it can't read it could either be the disc, in which case give it a good clean, or the CD drive it's reading from. Try taking another CD drive from another machine and then installing it.
If all else fails I think you should be able to get a replacement copy from Activision - contact their technical support section and see if they can shed any light on the situation.
