I had this and used CW Shredder from InterMute free Download
sorted straight away and no problems since

andy, have you got a firewall sorted? You might be cleaning fine but letting all of the crap back on..?

Try www.sygate.com for one of the better free personal firewalls.

Spybot and adaware combined usually waste all know crap, I would stay away from any registry altering stuff unless you know what you are doing...

Are you using XP? If so give me a shout and I'll bring in the SP2 disk, not sure if this will work, but worth a shot.
