Why the F*ck do all the major software programmes insist on becoming the default programme for opening all your media..

why the f*ck do they proclaim to be the standard, then have to download additional software to do it... and then cant, so come up with some unable to connect crap, because they cant do it!!!!!

it really pisses me off that we have to put up with ***** waving from the big companys,,,, they wouldnt give you 5 minutes if you made claims to them and couldnt deliver, so why should we have to put up with there crap..

can anyone out there reccomend a free media util that can play divx real wma mpg avi etc, or is there anything that can play the majority??


getting really peed off that mpgs from my phone cannot be played cos real has buggered around with it..

yes many are guilty of this just right click on the file and select open with then choose program, then tick the box always use the selected program to use this file type

there is another good free player that plays all sorts ill have a look for it after top gear

there is an option on most media packages to tick if you want to use that package as the default for certain things like mpeg and mp3 so double check you have ticked the right boxes before you install the package

Also look at Real Alternative, QuickTime Alternative and if you want an official RealPlayer client, use RealPlayer Enterprise.

Other media players you may like to try include Media Player Classic (with K-Lite CODEC pack) and VLC Media Player
