Default Microsoft Outlook

HI. I have tried to send a file in Outlook (Hotmail) and it is stuck on 50% sending. It will not complete, regardless of time. I am not able to delete this file (selecting then delete, right click and delete, draging to the bin, moving to another file etc etc etc) and because of this I am not able to send/receive due to this 'stuck' email. I have uninstalled the programme and re-installed it - but the email is still there... Any ideas?? Trev (cheers)

The problem is not exiting Outlook - I can do that. It's just when I open the programme again, the bloody problem email is still there, and tries to send - and get's stuck at 50%...

Hmmm, this is just a guess. You may not be able to delete the message because it is trying to send it...

Open up Outlook, set it to Work Offline. Shutdown outlook. Now start it again in Offline mode. It should not be dealing with the file, so you may now be able to delete it.

Hope that works....

Have you tried deleting it out of your outbox folder in outlook?

Microsoft Outlook 2003. Not sure what you mean by 'folder view'. I have 'drafts', 'inbox', 'outbox' etc in sections on the left, and the email on the right! Can you tell i'm not an expert??

Well you have just mentioned the outbox folder, i.e 'outbox'. In other words the outbox is where mail is kept whilst being sent.

Sorry - thinking too deeply... I have the folder options on screen, the 'problem' email is in the outbox, won't fully send, and I can't delete it!! Can I access the email elsewhere to attempt to delete it?
