I've heard they're testing 300Mb wireless around Glasgow. There's loads of bandwidth available from BB technology, but it's typical of companies to hold back and then justify charging users an arm and a leg. What we need is continual competition and less 12 month contracts so users can vote with their feet.

im pretty sure japan is 50 meg down and 3 meg up at the mo, there was an article about this on adsl guide. Im also sure Sweden is SDSL 10 meg standard connection speed

 

Im in a counter strike clan with members from various parts of the world. Got a couple from sweden etc who mainly have have connections around 8-10mb. They pay next to nothing for them and have no download caps.

Theres on lad from Norway currently on about 10mb soon to be upgraded to 15mb amd i think he only pays about £10 a month. Thing is though he lives right up in mountains in middle of no where. His nearest town is a 2 hour drive. But i know people in this country who cant even get 512k BB it takes the pish really.
