Running Outlook on WinXP Pro. Tried to move some messages to a personal folder but get the error message: "can't move messages". Never had this problem before. These are just regular e-mail messages sitting in the inbox. Need to hide them from the Wife as they relate to a present I've just bought her. No, really!

Any ideas??

are you trying to just drag & drop them? what happens if you right click & choose move to folder?

Is there anymore to the message that comes up?

Sounds like your pst file may have been corrupted. I had a similar problem in the past - I was unable to move or delete anything in my inbox.
