ICQ files transfer problem

ICQ files transfer problem
Its been ages since I have used ICQ, but one thing that I remember it being good for is to transfer files to friends. The reason being that it can resume file transfers from where you left off.
I'm stuck behind a basic hardware NAT firewll with port forwarding capability. I'm used to fiddling with this for different applications, but am stugglingn with ICQ.
Is there someone on here who has transferred files successfully with ICQ prepared to give me a couple of minutues. I'd like to try and send you a coupld of small files to see if we can setup the program properly?
My friend that I'm sending stuff to has not used ICQ for ages, so the problems could be at either end....
