Advice on computer speakers
Hi,
I've just bought my first set of PC speakers (as opposed to using the crummy built-in speaker in my old PC), and I have a question about booting up the PC.
When I boot up, if the speakers are switched on and the volume on the sub is turned up high, there's a loud pop/crack from the speakers. The same happens when the PC is shut down.
The speaker documentation recommends that the volume control on the subwoofer is turned up high, so the volume can be controlled from the PC.
Is this normal behaviour? I'm concerned that the speakers may become damaged, so at the moment, I'm shutting off the power to the speakerswhen switching the PC ON or OFF.
I have a set of Acoustic Energy Aego 2.1 speakers (which incidentally are fantastic and on sale for £70 at Unbeatable.co.uk).
