Hello

Actually, no. All the places I used to get modchips from have stopped selling the PS2 ones. There are a few in America if you look on google.

Hi Shaggy,i modchipped my own ps2 but i really thought it was never going to work after. It is really really hard to solder the wires in place,so unless your handy with a soldering iron id get it done by someone who is.I'll have a look where i got my chip from to see if there still availible .Mark

No, its not an easy soldering job.

Unless you are a *very* competent solderer, I'd go for something like the Swap Magic 3.6 Plus + Slide Tool from here: http://www.consolemoduk.co.uk/

No console modification required, well except for the drawer front

you can get modchips that don't require soldering, they just clip in place OR you can use swap magic which doesn't require a chip, search ebay etc.

What about Swap Magic?? - I am thinking of getting the swap magic disks both DVD and CD and the slimline tool all for under £20, via that auction site...

Swap Magic works for me. Slimline PS2 requires no internal mods or permanent external ones. Just a case of covering 3 sensors up.

Keeps warrantee intact too.
