This is pissing me off !!!
Windows xp home edition loads up, gets to the accounts page where you can choose your username (so it can load your settings)
under my user name it always says " 1 unread mail message "
When I click on my username and xp loads I might find out I have no mail or possibly a lot yet it always says 1 unread mail message under my username on the accounts page !!
Can somebody tell me how I get rid of this

Download Tweak UI from Microsoft here and install it. It is a Powertoys add on for Windows XP.
Then run Tweak UI and click the tab besides Logon and select Unread Mail and deselect the option there.
